They Drive A Hard Bargain!

We opened for business this morning at around 7am and have been doing really well! Tallulah and Guinness have not been willing to budge on any of the prices. Guinness almost bit somebody that tried to talk us down and Tallulah hates hagglers. Don't they look cute though?!?

Also cute is our sign that we made to spread the word!

Next Thursday and Friday, the lovely Maria and myself will be hosting a garage sale! With gas prices topping out at $90 a gallon, we figured we better raise some extra moolah for our Florida/Savannah road trip. That being said, if you have anything you would like to donate to the cause, feel free to do so! Or if you are a shopaholic and would like to find a "treasure" we will have furniture, electronics, children's movies, books and tons of knicknacks. The sale will be at my house for the good part of the day on the 26th and 27th. E-mail me at JenniferBCochran@Aol.com if you need directions.

Let The Countdown Begin!

My entire family will be going to WaterColor for the 4th of July this year. I am starting to get really excited about the trip. I can't wait to see my little man (Breck) at the beach. I'm confident he will be a little beach bum and drive the ladies wild! Maria is also making the trip, which will make it even more fun. The two of us are driving together and leaving a few days early to make an out of the way stop in Savannah, GA. I will be completely honest, the only reason we are driving close to 6 hours out of our way is to eat at Paula Deen's restaurant, The Lady & Sons. If you have been following my blog for a bit, you will know that Maria and I LOVE Paula. We have seen her twice in the past year alone. So we figured that this trip would be the perfect opportunity to go eat at her restaurant. We will be staying the night in Savannah and exploring the city as well. I have heard great things about it. We leave 2 weeks from today!

Welcome Brayden!

Maria posted this as well, but I thought I would welcome him on my blog too! My friend Ashley had her baby boy yesterday afternoon! I met Ashley through my old roommate in college, Lynsie. Ash set up a blog when she got pregnant and has been posting updates about her pregnancy. Now he is finally here! Happy Birthday Brayden!

NASHVILLE, TN...5/21/08... At approximately 5pm on the afternoon of Wednesday May 21st, Maria Sue Chapman, 5 years old and the youngest daughter to Steven and Mary Beth Chapman was struck in the driveway of the Chapman home in Franklin, TN. Maria was rushed to Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital in Nashville, transported by LifeFlight, but died of her injuries there. Maria is one of the close knit family’s six children and one of their three adopted daughters.

Brittney, Tim and myself are all going to New York City this week! We are flying up early Thursday morning and Britt and I will fly home Friday night. Tim is staying in the city for a few extra days. I am really excited about this trip. In the past, we have just gone for a day trip but this time we are staying overnight with our friend John, who just moved to NYC at the beginning of May. I will be sure to post pictures and a recap when I get home!

Relay For Life

This Friday night I am excited to say that I will be participating in Relay for Life! It is a fund raiser done by the American Cancer Society and I am really looking forward to it. I am on a relay team with Maria, Mark, Laurette (Maria's mom) and some of Maria's coworkers. We are scheduled to walk our part at 10:30pm. Maria explained to me that the walk is through the night to represent the way cancer affects your life. You go from the dark and gloom of night, to hopefully the sun of morning! I will be walking in honor of my Aunt Cissy, who passed away just over two years ago from ovarian cancer, and Maria's grandma, who I am happy to report is cancer free after a battle with squamous cell cancer. Both amazing women! I will try and take some pictures of the night and post them this weekend. Until then...have a happy Tuesday!

Why did Jennifer cross the road?...to get a ticket to see Keith Urban of course!

Last night I had planned on going to the Dame to see a show with Tim and John around 7 and then possibly going to Mcarthys for a bit. I was walking down Upper on the way to the Dame when I hear yelling, screaming, honking and my name being yelled. I turn around only to see a Suburban loaded up with the most of the Fink family. They were on their way to see Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban at Rupp Arena. Low and behold they just happened to have an extra ticket and I just happened to be crossing the street at the right time. I ended up going to the concert! Wonderfully random. I did head down to Mcarthys when I was done to meet up with the boys...it turned out to be a great night :)

The Office Returns

After 100 days off...The Office is returning this Thursday night at 9. I am so excited about it!

Because LOST isn't coming back on until the 24th, and I am missing Thursday night dinners, I have decided to cook before the show.
We are eating at 7:30, come eat with us!

As expected, 80's night was a huge success. The only thing that makes me sad is that I am just now discovering this wonderful jewel of an event every Friday night.
