Hosanna in the Highest

Tonight, I decided to go to Southlands 608 church service. It is a service geared toward college age and young adults. I had never heard this song but just really thought it was beautiful. I tend to find a lot of worship songs to be "surface level" with not a lot of subsistence. It seems like worship can get so routined for a lot of people, myself included. For some reason this song really stood out. I encourage you to watch the video and read the lyrics.
Hosanna Lyrics
I see the king of glory
Coming down the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes
I see his love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing, the people sing
Hosanna, hosannaHosanna in the highest
I see a generation
Rising up to take the place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
I see a new revival
Staring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees, we're on our knees
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what is yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity
Hosanna

My blog has a name!

I have been blogging for about 5 months now and am just now coming up with a name. I am not 100% sold that it is going to stick, but it is certainly better than the "Jennifer Cochran" blog (zzzzz, boring!). What do you think?

Saturday Night...

After Church tonight, Emily, Maria, Mark and myself decided that we wanted to go do something that we don't usually do (a normal Saturday night consists of us playing cards at my house, we love it, but wanted to do something different). We decided to go to Marikka's (a local German bar). We had also planned on going bowling but found out the bowling alley was closed for a private party :( We stayed at Marikkas for a few hours and played darts. I was skeptical about darts at first, but it turned out to be a lot of fun! And no Saturday night out is complete without a visit to Goodfellas pizza downtown. Here are a few pictures from our night...enjoy!

Colin has a blog!

I always love to share when my friends start a blog. This one happens to be very special to me. Colin is a good friend who is serving our country in Iraq. He actually just went back over last week after being home for a few weeks on leave. We miss him already. Please be sure to keep Colin and all of his men in your prayers. You can find his blog here.

Video of Mary Keene Marrs (my second cousin) reciting her Bible verse (John 3:16) and class rules. So cute, I just had to share!

My new favorite website...

My mom stumbled across this site yesterday and I absolutely love it. I think my sister may have bought her crib bedding off this site as well, not sure though. They have so much cute stuff! I am looking at ordering one of the ruffled kitchen aprons :). You can find the website here.

Out of Town...

This picture was from Thanksgiving 2007 at the Watercolor house

I will be leaving for Watercolor in the morning (3/7) and wont be home until a week from Sunday (3/16). I will have my camera so I will probably be posting some pictures. Until then...have a good week!

Welcome Home Colin!

I am so excited about tonights LOST Thursday dinner. Our friend Colin has been serving in Iraq for the past few months and is home for a few weeks on leave. He will be having dinner with the LOST crew tonight and I am so happy to have him home. I am cooking up a storm today...Pork tenderloin, corn casserole, twice baked potatoes, rolls, baked apples, green bean casserole and oreo dirt dessert. I really wanted to go all out to celebrate!
Sorry I have been absent from the blogging world. I have been super busy getting new paint, new carpet and organizing my entire house. But I am back :)
